Is Fall Still A Good Time To Sell??
The simple answer is, yes!
We have officially entered the fall season and as many have heard that summer is the best time to sell, fall has its pro's as well. Take into consideration a few of the reasons on why I think the fall season is still a great time to sell.
1. Inventory Is Low
Typically, the fall season slows down because of multiple reasons. Kids have gone back to school, schedules are busier, weather makes it less desirable to move and so on. With that, there are still people moving. People relocating, retiring, downsizing/ upsizing etc. Listing your house when there aren't many other homes listed creates a competitive environment for buyers. When there are fewer houses available, demand often exceeds supply which leads to a quicker sale. Sellers benefit because they have more of a negotiating power and may revive multiple offers.
3. Season Appeal
What not a better time to show off your fireplace(s), and coziness of your home then fall?? Listing in the fall season you can create a sense of comfort that makes that potential buyer want to move in tomorrow and start baking cookies in that beautiful oven. While summer can promote characteritics as well, Fall does in a more intimate and comforting way.
3. Serious Buyers
The Fall and Winter seasons are full of events and holidays. Most buyers looking to purchase a home are serious and want to get things moving prior to the holidays. Whether its Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years... being moved in and settled before the holiday starts would be ideal for that potential buyer.
I hope this helped and if you are thinking of selling to please reach out. Whether its this Fall season of next, I would love to help navigate you in the right direction!
